These projects will now advance to the Canadian Nursery Landscape Association's 2022 National Award of Landscape Excellence.
The CNLA National Award of Landscape Excellence winners will be announced August 10, 2022 at the NALE Gala Dinner at the Château Laurier, Ottawa.
Tim Murray accepted three awards on behalf of Murray's Landscape Services for:
Landscape Design for the Burin Heritage Square Revitalization Project;
Residential Construction Over $25,000 for the Tuff Project:
Residential Construction Under $25,000 for the Malone Project
Steven O'Neill from O'Neill Landscape accepts the LNLHA Award of Landscape Excellence for Commercial Construction Over $25K for the Residence at Littledale Project
Pat's Plants & Gardens started its story in May of 1987, in the garage of Pat Puddester’s house. From that small beginning Pat continued to clear land and build more greenhouses. Always willing to share her knowledge, Pat is very well respect by her peers, staff, suppliers and customers.
Pat's Plants & Gardens had been in the horticultural business for 33 years. LNLHA is 28 years old and Pat has been with them from the beginning.
Congratulations Pat on receiving the LNLHA 2021 Lifetime Achievement Award, it is well deserved.
Chris Stratton of Viking Stone & Gardens has been with the industry for over 10 years, recently he opened his own business. Chris's reputation for quality work and craftsmanship has been recognized by his peers and customers alike. As a new member company of LNLHA, Chris is always there to help whenever needed. LNLHA looks forward to having Viking Stone & Gardens as a member of the association for years to come.
Congratulations to Chris for receiving the LNLHA 2021 Rookie Company of the Year Award.
Meghan McCarthy is a Red Seal Landscape Horticulturist and Project Manager at AIRO Landscapes Inc. She is passionate about horticultural excellence, the promotion and creation of sustainable, healthy, beautiful landscapes. Meghan brings horticulture into the classroom of local schools. In Sept 2019 Meghan completed a series of workshops and a hands-on garden installation at Bishop Abraham Elementary School.
Congratulations Meghan on being the recipient of the LNLHA 2021 Community Involvement Award.
Each year Landscape NL Horticultural Association (LNLHA) members have the opportunity to submit projects they have been working on to be judged by industry persons from across Canada.
LNLHA winning projects and other submission who receive qualifying marks move on to the Canadian Nursery Landscape Association (CNLA) National Awards of Landscape Excellence which will be presented in August 2021.
